Career

Beckers is the daughter of former Vlaams Belang politician Marleen Govaerts and has described herself as coming from a Flemish nationalist family. She obtained a master's degree in history from the

Holocaust. She was a history teacher before working as an assistant in her husband's law firm. Beckers is married with three children.[1][2]

Beckers first joined the former

Flemish parliament for the Limburg constituency (nl).[1][5] In the Flemish parliament she focuses on matters related to education and infrastructure.[6]

She is also an opinion columnist for the blog site
