S. K. M. Maeilanandhan, is an Indian industrialist from Erode, Tamil Nadu. He is the founder of S. K. M. group of companies. In 2013, he was awarded Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award by the Government of India for his contributions to social service.

Biography

Maeilanandhan was born as Saminathapuram Krisnasamy Mayilsamy in 1945 in

animal feeds.[3] The conglomerate includes the following constituent entities: SKM Egg Products,[4][5] SKM Animal Feeds and Foods,[6] SKM Siddha and Ayurvedic Medicines[1][7] and SKM Health and Mind Welfare Charity Trust.[1]

Maeilanandhan serves as the President of the World Community Service Centre (WCSC), a non profit spiritual organization founded by

panchayats across India.[9] The charitable trust he founded in 1989 has adopted multiple villages to support them with basic infrastructure.[3][9]

In 2013, he was awarded Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award by the Government of India for his contributions to social service.[10]
