Safadasht

Safadasht (

Romanized as Safādašt, formerly Shahrabad (شهرآباد),^[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Safadasht District of Malard County, Tehran province, Iran.^[4] It also serves as the administrative center for Bibi Sakineh Rural District.^[5]

At the 2006 census, its population was 15,855 in 4,056 households, when it was in the former Malard District of Shahriar County.^[6] The following census in 2011 counted 19,233 people in 5,344 households,^[7] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Malard County.^[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 32,476 people in 9,687 households.^[2]
