Samoa, Missouri

Samoa is an

unincorporated community in Texas County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1]

The community was located approximately three miles west of

Indian Creek. The Ozark Church and cemetery lie just southeast of the location. Houston is about four miles to the northwest.[2]

History

A post office called Samoa was established in 1890, and remained in operation until 1909.[3] The community was named after the island nation of Samoa.[4]
