The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G and Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2020, 2022 & 2024) are Android-based tablets designed, developed, and marketed by Samsung Electronics. Galaxy Tab S6 was announced on 31 July 2019, Galaxy Tab S6 5G was announced on 29 January 2020, Galaxy Tab S6 Lite was announced on 2 April (2020), the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022) was announced on 14 May 2022,[5][6]and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Lite (2024) was announced on 26 March 2024. Design

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is built with an aluminum frame and a plastic back for the screen. It has stereo loudspeakers with AKG tuning. The S6 comes in Mountain Gray, Cloud Blue and Rose Blush, with the 5G model only available in Mountain Gray, and the S6 Lite series comes in Chiffon Pink, Angora Blue and Oxford Gray. A USB-C port is used for charging and connecting other accessories.[8][9]

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon system-on-chip, with 4 GB, 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and 64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB of non-expandable UFS 3.0 internal storage.[4][10][9]

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 & S6 Lite family have a 7040 mAh battery, and is capable of fast charging at up to 15 W.[4][11][9]

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 features a 10.5-inch 2560 x 1600 Super AMOLED display. The display has a 16:10 aspect ratio. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2020, 2022 & 2024) features a 10.3-inch 2000 x 1200 TFT LCD display. The display has a 5:3 aspect ratio[4][8][9]

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 includes dual rear-facing cameras. The wide 26 mm f/2.0 lens 13-megapixel sensor, while the ultrawide f/2.2 lens has a 12-megapixel sensor; the front-facing camera uses an 8-megapixel sensor. It is capable of recording 4K video at 30 fps. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite family has a single wide 28mm f/1.9 lens 8-megapixel sensor; the front-facing camera uses a 32mm f/2.0 lens 5-megapixel sensor. It is capable of recording FHD video at 30 fps.[4][11][9]

All models of the tablet are compatible with the S Pen, which is included in the box.

Software

The Galaxy Tab S6 and S6 5G shipped with Android Pie with One UI 1.5, upgradable to Android 12L with One UI 4.1.1 [12]The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite shipped with Android 10 with One UI 2.1, and is currently on Android 13 with One UI 5.1.1. The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022 shipped with Android 12 with One UI 4, and will have 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates. The Galaxy S6 Lite 2024 shipped with Android 14 with One Ui 6.1[13] , and is likely also to have 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates. All tablets of the S6 series include Samsung DeX. [14]
