Santa Fe Township is one of fifteen townships in Clinton County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,195 and it contained 510 housing units.[1] The township was formed from part of Germantown and Carlyle townships.

Geography

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 25.64 square miles (66.4 km2), of which 25.48 square miles (66.0 km2) (or 99.38%) is land and 0.16 square miles (0.41 km2) (or 0.62%) is water.[2]

The average household size was 2.54 and the average family size was 3.09.

The township's age distribution consisted of 23.8% under the age of 18, 4.8% from 18 to 24, 19% from 25 to 44, 37.1% from 45 to 64, and 15.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 47.4 years. For every 100 females, there were 87.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.5 males.

The median income for a household in the township was $81,389, and the median income for a family was $107,841. Males had a median income of $66,667 versus $38,750 for females. The
