Mahendra Singh Dhoni and RS Seven Lifestyle. Dhoni is the brand ambassador of SEVEN and also owns footwear side of the business.[1][2]

Background

SEVEN was launched by RS Seven Lifestyle (owned by Rhiti Group) and MS Dhoni on 19 February 2016 in

licensing agreement with RS seven. 150 crore (US$19 million) to 200 crore (US$25 million) were spent by investors in development and distributions of the brand. Manufacturing for the brand is done in India, China and Vietnam.[1]

Brand name

The brand name SEVEN coincides with the

shirt number of MS Dhoni.[3]
SEVEN is the official kit sponsor of Chennai Super Kings in IPL and Joburg Super Kings in SA20 and Texas Super Kings in Major Cricket League

It previously has sponsored

I-League 2nd Division side ARA FC, based in Ahmedabad.[4]

Distribution and stores

SEVEN has fifteen distributors in India. It also has distributors in the United States and in the Middle East. Flipkart is the official e-commerce partner of the brand.[1] The brand is available at more than 300 multi-brand retail stores in India. On 20 July 2017, the first outlet of SEVEN was launched in Dhoni's hometown Ranchi.[5]
