Shalë is a former municipality in the
Shalë, and part of the Accursed Mountains range. There are eleven small mountain villages in the municipality: Breg-Lumi, Abat, Nicaj-Shalë, Lekaj, Vuksanaj, Pecaj, Theth, Ndërhysaj, Gimaj, Nen-Mavriq, Mekshaj, and Lotaj.[3]
