Hamilton was drafted by the

injured reserve on December 21, 2020.[4] Hamilton was waived on January 11, 2021.[5]

Detroit Lions

On January 12, 2021, Hamilton was claimed off waivers by the Detroit Lions.[6][7] He was placed on injured reserve on August 17, 2021.

On March 14, 2022, Hamilton re-signed with the Lions.[8] He was released on August 23, 2022.[9]

Coaching career

After his release from Detroit, on September 7, 2022, Hamilton retired from playing to pursue a coaching career, joining the Lions coaching staff as a defensive assistant.[10] On February 8, 2023, Hamilton accepted a role as an assistant linebackers coach with the same team.[11]
