Silver Star is an
Green Campbell made the first gold discovery in this area in 1866. The community was named for the Silver Star mining claim.[6] The post office opened in 1869.
Geography

Silver Star is in northwestern Madison County, on the west bank of the
U.S. Census Bureau, the Silver Star CDP has an area of 0.46 square miles (1.19 km2), all land.[1]

Education
