Soen (装苑, Sōen) is a

Tokyo, Japan. Founded in 1936, it is the first fashion magazine in the country.[1] It is also the oldest Japanese fashion magazine still in publication.[2][3]

History and profile

Soen was established by Bunka Fukusō Gakuin (meaning

High Fashion.[4] Soen targets women.[5]

In the 1950s Soen featured articles on

Kenzo Takada, Kansai Yamamoto, Tokio Kumagai, Kensho Abe, and Yusuke Takahashi.[2]
