Solveig Schytz

Solveig Schytz (born 19 February 1976) is a Norwegian politician for the Liberal Party.

She served as a deputy representative to the

Parliament of Norway from Akershus during the terms 2013–2017, 2017–2021 and 2021–2025. When Abid Raja took a cabinet seat in 2020, Schytz became a regular member of Parliament. Her membership was rescinded when Solberg's Cabinet fell in 2021 and Raja returned to Parliament.[1]

In 2021, Solveig Schytz proposed the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) for the Nobel Peace Prize.[2] Solveig Schytz is a scouting volunteer.

Following the

county cabinet together with its coalition partners, led by Anette Solli. The county cabinet would preside over Akershus County Municipality, following the dissolution of Viken on 1 January 2024. Schytz was selected as county commissioner of planning, cultural artefacts, climate and the environment.[3]
