The fact that the only by-product is water is NOT an indication that the reaction is an example of green chemistry. See the third principle of green chemistry: "Less hazardous chemical syntheses"! BPA is one of the most hazardous monomers in plastics currently produced in large scale. It would be extremely misleading to mention green chemistry here. Tag: Reverted
