Early life

Arshad was born and raised in South London, England. His father, is from Jhelum, Pakistan, and his mother, is from Lahore, Pakistan.[1] He has two siblings, a younger sister and a younger brother.[2] Arshad went to drama school.[3][4]

Career

Since September 2010, Arshad has had an online comedy series, Diary of a Bad Man, revolving around video diaries of a young man with the mentality of a seven-year-old growing up.[5][6] In 2011, Episode 5 of Diary of a Bad Man was the 7th most viewed video on YouTube.[7]

In July 2011, Arshad toured with other Muslim comedians on the Peace Youth and Community Trust’s (PYCT) first Muslim Comedy Tour.[3][4] From November to December 2011, he toured six UK cities with his comedy show entitled “The Badman Comedy Tour 2011,” accompanied by other crew members; Asif, JP, Kalum, Yogi,[8][9][10][11] and Fayaaz. The tour was sponsored by Azme Alishan, a Pakistan-based social movement.[12]
