Malaysian Indian Sports Council-Malaysian Indian Football Association (MISC-MIFA) Football Club is a professional

The club is co-owned by the Malaysian Indian Sports Council (MISC) and Malaysian Indian Football Association (MIFA). MISC-MIFA were established to represent

Malaysian Indian
community, although the club still allowed a non-Indian in the current squad.

MISC-MIFA are the current champions of the

Liga Premier
for 2017 season.

History

Malaysian Indian Sports Council-Malaysian Indian Football Association Football Club or MISC-MIFA was founded in 2014 when the club was approved to compete in Malaysia FAM League, the third division of national level football competition in Malaysia.[1][2] The club was created as an effort by Malaysian Indian Football Association to elevate Indian community involvement in sports and also to produce more Indian players in Malaysian football as a whole. The club is sponsored by Malaysian Indian Football Association (MIFA).[3]

In 2013, the club under-23 youth side has managed to become champion in the France International Indian tournament.[4]

In preparation for the club participation in FAM League, the club has been prepared with RM 1.3 Million budget and the preparation has started six months before the season begins.

2016 Malaysia FAM League, the club has set a budget of RM 800,000 for their bid to win the third division.[6]

In 10 October 2016, the club has finally qualify to be promoted for 2017 season of

Petaling Jaya Stadium

MISC-MIFA are currently based at Petaling Jaya Stadium in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.[11] The capacity of the stadium is 25,000.[12]

The club has previously using the USIM Stadium in

2016 season before moving to current stadium.[13][14]

Ownership and finances

MISC-MIFA is co-owned by the Malaysian Indian Sports Council and Malaysian Indian Football Association.

Malaysian Indian community and promote the community involvement in national football competition including spearhead the football development for the community.[2]

Sponsorship

MISC-MIFA's kit has been manufactured by Umbro since 2016 season which is contracted to supply the club's kit.

MISC-MIFA's current main shirt sponsor is MIFA.
