To You
Hello RHaworth it is come to my knowledge that you protected this page (after AFD). The article was created by few people in last 1 and half years both time it got deleted because it has no notable links , so someone last month created this article again which was in draft , today i got to know that it was deleted twice , i checked all the previous references deleted it and today i recreated the article with enough references of dawn newspaper , tribune , thenews and others. i would like to know can you recheck and approve this as it is in draft since 25 november 2019 ? it will be good as the artist (Serial suno chanda) is becoming famous and virual in India and Pakistan. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Nabeel_Zuberi — Preceding unsigned comment added by Memon KutianaWala (talk • contribs) 13:27, 20 December 2019 (UTC)
- So just be patient and wait. If draft:Nabeel Zuberi gets accepted then unprotection of Nabeel Zuberi will be uncontroversial. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:30, 20 December 2019 (UTC)
Unfortunately it is denied maybe because the reviewer say in past this page was deleted multiple times and now its salted. I have added all new references , artist is mentioned in BBC news network asia too , dawn , tribune and many others have wrote about him but article is still declined. it means i should move on ? — Memon KutianaWala (talk) 17:58, 27 December 2019 (UTC)
Deletion article Jean-Francois Gariepy
Hi RHaworth, on 1 December, you speedily deleted this article: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log/delete&page=Talk:Jean-Fran%C3%A7ois_Gari%C3%A9py I was unable to find any reason as to why the article was deleted. Can you please explain in what respect the article violated Wikipedia rules? Thanks! Tacokanone (talk) 21:50, 20 December 2019 (UTC)
Always provide a wikilink thus: Talk:Jean-François Gariépy and read this. [Too bitey]I think you are really asking about the article proper, Jean-François Gariépy not its talk page. Given the extensive sock-puppetry that lies behind this article and also given your own contributions history, I have the greatest suspicion of your motivation. As you can see from the log, two states have been deleted, both because they were created by a banned or blocked user. The 2018 state was created by ColinSheffer (talk · contribs) - not even mentioned in Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/TroySchulz/Archive but someone has deemed him to be a sock puppet. The 2109 state was created by Hijadealgo (talk · contribs)(investigation). — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:18, 21 December 2019 (UTC)- Yes, I was referring to the article proper. The article was created before the user Hijadealgo was blocked. G5 states that "A page created before the ban or block was imposed or after it was lifted will not qualify under this criterion." (G5). Please restore the article. -- Tacokanone (talk) 09:20, 23 December 2019 (UTC)

Charles J. Brown
Hi, RHaworth. Deletion of erroneously-assumed abandoned article Charles J. Brown. On 20 December you speedily deleted this article: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log/delete&page=Draft:Charles_J._Brown This is the reason it said it was deleted, and by who: 04:40, 20 December 2019 (UTC) RHaworth talk contribs deleted page Draft:Charles J. Brown (G13: Abandoned draft or AfC submission – If you wish to retrieve it, make your request here (TW)) (thank) I had not abandoned it. I have little experience on Wikipedia and was told as long as I had the draft in my 'sandbox' it was safe from deletion. After reading what G13 means, I now understand that is not true, that there is a rule about no activity for six months, etc. However, I would argue that I had edited it less than six months ago, regardless. I have recently been able to resume the necessary research to finish this article. I don't want to have to start all over again creating it. For me, what was already up was a lot of work. Please tell me it is possible to recover the article so I can finish it! Thank you for your help. Trishymouse (talk) 05:50, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher)@Trishymouse: The deletion message you quote above has a link from the word "here" to the best place to request undeletion, not this page.
- You're right that a page in your own userspace, whether as sandbox or a named draft, has no deadline and isn't eligible for G13 if it hasn't been submitted to AfC, but it appears that this one was in Draft space not userspace so G13 applies. Hope that helps. PamD 06:28, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
- @Trishymouse: RHaworth's deletion was perfectly correct, completely in accordance with policy. Drafts that have been untouched for 6 months (as this one had) are in practice almost always abandoned, so they may be deleted. However, if anyone does wish to continue work on such a draft, the policy is that it is restored automatically on request. I don't remember ever knowing an administrator fail to restore a draft he or she has deleted as abandoned as soon as they receive a message from an editor who wishes to work on the draft, and no doubt RHaworth would have done so, but to save time I have now restored it for you. — JBW (talk) Formerly JamesBWatson 10:01, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
- The request did not need a long message. All it needed was a bit of patience. I would have restored the page as soon as I saw even the shortest request. Note that you can make keep the page alive virtually indefinitely by doing a trivial (but not null) edit every 5½ months. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:18, 21 December 2019 (UTC)

Not doneThe draft was deleted because it was a copyright violation. We will not restore copyright violations, nor e-mail them to users, as the latter would contribute to the copyright violation. --Orange Mike | Talk 09:03, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
- You are writing from an IP address. There is no evidence that you are Pachawawa (talk · contribs) to whom I should be writing. Quite apart from being a copyvio, the article was hopelessly spammy. FaisalMusicFan99 socks - again
On 19 Dec you kindly deleted some fake articles created by TheCurefan99 and 217.164.18.180 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) G5 as created by socks of User:FaisalMusicFan99. The IP has since stopped (or moved) but the account has continued in their usual pattern - creating "draft" articles, by copying an existing article and then falsifying the details. The next step is usually to try and swap the fake article for the real one.
So far the account has created Draft:Alec Baldwin/sandbox, Draft:Rough Draft Studios, Draft:Frederator filmography. User:TheCurefan99/sandbox/Babylon (1991 short film) User:TheCurefan99/sandbox (our article is Genndy Tartakovsky) and User:TheCurefan99/sandbox/2 (our article is Innuendo (song). Could I please ask you to delete these drafts before they are inserted into mainspace, and block the account. As before the long term details are at User:Arjayay/Albert - thanks - Arjayay (talk) 12:39, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
Actually, while I'm asking, could you also please delete Draft:Mark Heatley and Draft:'Lil The Cure (previously deleted G5 under the title Draft:Lil' The Cure) created by the IP, which, again, have had information falsified - thanks - Arjayay (talk) 12:49, 22 December 2019 (UTC)

- Boing!, I recognise that my sarcasm has definitely contributed to the storm that is currently raging. But I begin to wonder whether I am writing in the same language as everybody else when I see my message above described as sarcasm. Absolutely no sarcasm was intended. It was meant to be a perfectly straightforward request: "given that you have requested me to stop doing speedy deletions and I have agreed, do you think I should do these deletions". Please explain very carefully why you consider my wording sarcastic.
- Arjayay, I have left three in place because I could not immediately see good grounds for deletion. Feel free to apply a speedy tag to User:TheCurefan99/sandbox/Babylon (1991 short film). The other two will disappear as stale drafts within six months. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:01, 23 December 2019 (UTC)

Deletion of Peter Schimke
I found the sequence of events in the edit history of Peter Schimke a bit odd. A throwaway account gutted the article, and then two minutes later it was tagged for speedy deletion. The more I examine it, the less concerned I am — it wouldn't survive AfD, and I'm not sure what was in there even qualified as a "credible claim of significance" — but now I do wonder about the other articles created by the same person. Nothing for it but to ask
Hi, you deleted my page "CrankGameplays" back on August 29th. I was newer at editing then, and although I can't apologize for that, I didn't realize that the article had been created and deleted by others previously. I would've made it with more care if I'd known. At any rate, the subject of the article has only gotten more well-known in his line of work and meanwhile I've improved the article, which is in my sandbox. Looking forward to your feedback (crossing fingers for positive but I'll take what I can get). — Perennialpoet (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 02:30, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
- Instead of bracketing a page name with "" you should bracket it with [[]] thus: CrankGameplays. I have moved your sandbox (again mentioned by you without any link) to draft:CrankGameplays and thrown in some edits from 2017 with details of his youth. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:00, 26 December 2019 (UTC)

Hi - I was wondering if you would be able to open up 2019 Diamond Head Classic to creation by non-administrators? The tournament concludes tomorrow and I was going to create the article tonight. Viz Arbcom case
Hi RHaworth. I've seen your work and appreciate the amount of effort you've taken to maintain the project and also your to-date contributions. What I am writing is purely my opinion, and you can simply disregard it. In my view, you should just hand in your bit and not go through the Arbcom case. More because it's not worth it, not for you, not for the community that will go through weeks of arguments, evidence building, findings and decisions. There's so much other good work to do here than adminning. Hand in your bit, tell the Arbcom they can continue the case if they still to want to, and just enjoy editing here. My apologies for such a message on Christmas. That said, merry Christmas and happy new year. — Lourdes 17:19, 25 December 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you for your advice. I assume that by "hand in your bit" you mean request to have my admin rights removed. I have no intention of doing so because I insist I am not a "bad" admin. I don't care if they want to generate another fifty pages talking about me - it was their decision to go to arbitration. But Merry Christmas to you! — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:00, 26 December 2019 (UTC)
- I've had nothing to do with this Arbcom case, and haven't commented there, but I will say this: Read Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Arthur Rubin (particularly Finding of Fact #6 : "Community Confidence") and Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Fred Bauder, and understand that what can happen to them may also happen to you. Lourdes is simply giving you a way out of it that avoids drama. If the case is accepted (and it seems like it will be), you have some serious work to do to explain why your side of the story is correct and while the other (which will be a set of diff-based evidence to desysop you) is wrong. You're also in an unfortunate position that people are still leaving "why did you delete this" messages on your talk page, and now anything you say can now be held in evidence against you. — Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:02, 27 December 2019 (UTC)
- Just popped in briefly (I'm away from home). For what it's worth, I don't want to lose you as an admin as, in common with others, I recognize you do a lot of good work. There was a case a while ago which I think has certain similarities, and the admin ended up desysopped. But I think there's a better way, and I'll offer some suggestions at the Workshop page when it gets started. — Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 20:03, 30 December 2019 (UTC)

Updating population numbers of Austrian towns
Hi, since you deleted the series of population number templates for Austrian towns on March 2, 2019 Template:Metadata population AT-8, I was wondering if you could maybe update the outdated population numbers. Updating the numbers via these templates would need less than five minutes, unfortunately its not possible any more. Regards -- Septembermorgen (talk) 11:38, 27 December 2019 (UTC)
- Septembermorgen, the TfD discussion concluded that these templates were redundant. I am not clear how they worked and I certainly cannot see immediately how they could be used to update a few hundred articles in "less than five minutes". But they are still there on de: at de:Vorlage:Metadaten Einwohnerzahl AT-1 so de:Vorlage:Metadaten Einwohnerzahl AT-9 it would seem to be possible to copy each one here in turn to a temporary template, use it to update articles and then delete it. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:20, 5 January 2020 (UTC)

- Although I have now contributed to the Arbcom case, I want to emphasise that all I am trying to do is to highlight the issues, in the hope that others will find solutions for them, and in particular I want to avoid giving the impression that I am doing this out of revenge or a desire to throw you under a bus. Indeed, two days ago, I said "I had a lengthy real-life chat in the Pendrel's Oak with him [RHaworth] about Irish politics and transport (particularly on the topic of the UK / Ireland border and infrastructure such as the Senator George Mitchell Peace Bridge), and we made peace with each other and enjoyed our chat.". While it seems it is notable enough for desysopping (based on the likely outcome of the ArbCom case as it stands now), please take pride in what you HAVE done. Should you take this information, rebuild yourself, and strengthen your resolve to be a better Admin with better feedback to those noobs you're helping, I'll be happy to nominate you at an RfA in the future. Aftab Darvishi
Hi, My draft article for Aftab Darvishi was removed for copy right violation. I was wondering if it is possible for you to put it back in my sandbox? That way I can fix the issues and try to publish it again. Thank you Fatemeh Naghshvarian (talk) 12:54, 17 January 2020 (UTC)

Deleted Draft - please help to restore it
Hello, Please help me to restore a draft that appears to have been deleted by you. I tried to take a screen shot of the red box showing it was deleted but I was unable to upload it. I am not familiar with publishing on Wikipedia and appreciate your patience and assistance.
I also did not see where to "sign" this email with the 4 tildes. ≈≈≈≈ Nancy Jun 28, 2017, 4:39 PM

Deleted Article for Leading Women
Hi Roger -- I submitted an article in my sandbox in June of 2019 re: Leading Women, a consulting firm that does great work in bringing gender balance to corporate leadership.
I don't have a link to the article, but this is the link to the notification that you deleted it: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Dcoffeychaput/sandbox&action=edit
Since this was the first time I've ever submitted anything to Wikipedia, I'm wondering what I did wrong with the submission and would like to re-submit or correct the issues you had with the one you deleted. I am finding the whole Wikipedia process a bit confusing and would appreciate any insight/guidance on how I can improve my article so it is published.
I do think it's so important for people searching Wikipedia for resources that can help their companies achieve gender parity, diversity and inclusion, women's leadership, etc., be able to find Leading Women as they can help them achieve their goals.
Anything you can do to help would be most appreciated. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Thank you!

Article - Pancreatic mucinous cystic neoplasm
Hello, you deleted an article entitled "Pancreatic mucinous cystic neoplasm" in 2018. It looks like this was done because the article at that time consisted largely of blatant copyright infringement. If I am mistaken, and a decision was made to delete the article for another reason, please let me know. Otherwise, I will start working on writing a new article under that title. — Rytyho usa (talk) 23:55, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
- The deletion log entry is unambiguous so you are not mistaken. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:38, 30 January 2020 (UTC)

Sorry
Sorry to hear what happened at Arb Com, it seems like an overreaction to me, unfortunately that happens here sometimes. If you decide to go back to RfA then you'll get my support. Cheers, Polyamorph (talk) 08:06, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
- I am sorry to hear it too. I was hoping for a result in your favour. I thought/hoped you would get some limits on speedy or something like that. But was not hoping, nor expecting a de-sysop. I hope you remain active on the project. —usernamekiran (talk) 17:17, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
