Instead of deleting the claim I just put [Source?] At the end of the baseless claim. To the moderator reading this I think it should be completely eliminated. In another part of this page it mentions two Kratom associated deaths from some study. The conflicting numbers and lack of an actual valid source are why I made the change undo Tags: Reverted Visual edit Mobile edit Mobile web edit
  • curprev 04:2604:26, 10 March 202469.126.83.53 talk 83,789 bytes −129 Deleted a sentence claiming people have died from just ingesting Kratom. I checked the source link and every link within that link and found nothing even mentioning that anyone, let alone 36 or 44 people, have died solely from consuming Kratom. Without a source it has no justifiable reason to be on the page misinforming people. People have overdosed and died drinking water (infamous radio contest) so I'm not saying it's impossible, I've just never seen any actual evidence for a single death. undo Tags: Reverted Visual edit Mobile edit Mobile web edit

  • curprev 22:2522:25, 9 March 2024154.5.201.230 talk 83,903 bytes −15 Removed mention of psychosis due to improper citing and no actual evidence supporting it. There is plenty of evidence to the contrary in studies on the thailand population who have used it for generations as well as studies showing that at least one of its active compounds acts as an antagonist at the serotonin 2a receptor much like both typical and atypical antipsychotics. The newer (atypical) neuroleptics tend to have a higher affinity for these receptors than for dopamine. undo Tag: Reverted
