Accepted from AfC because there is clear evidence Taylor is well known over a considerable period. However, it will be better to source the article using independent sources, rather than Taylor's website and books. Some sources, such as the Charleston Magazine are not sufficiently described to be able to find them. Sionk (talk) 22:31, 7 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I am the subject of a Wikipedia entry (John Martin Taylor) that was written several years ago by a fan. It's factual but outdated. I am not very computer literate and would like for the entry to be updated. Can someone help? My personal blog is hoppinjohns.net. My business of 33 years I recently passed on to my niece (hoppinjohns.com). In 2018, in preparation to move overseas with my partner of 27 years (and husband of 10), I donated my culinary library (see [1]) to a culinary school and my papers to the College of Charleston (see [2]). In 2018 I was awarded the Amelia Award by the Culinary Historians of New York for my expertise "in culinary history, with deep knowledge in the field. And ... for a having "demonstrated generosity and extraordinary support to others in the field, helping to shape and elevate culinary history into the academically-respected discipline that it is today." In 2019 I moved to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, with my husband, Mikel Herrington, who is the Peace Corps Country Director here.
