Biriyaani (
Malayalam: ബിരിയാണി, also known as Flavors of Flesh) is a 2020 Indian Malayalam-language film written and directed by Sajin Babu.[2] The film was produced by UAN Film House, it featuers Kani Kusruti, Shailaja in the lead roles. The film won NETPAC award for best film in 20th Asiatica Film Festival in Rome.[3] The heroine Kani Kusurthi won best second actress award at the Imagine Film Festival in Madrid, Spain for the performance in this film.[4]
Plot
Biriyani discuss about the problems faced by two young muslim women in Thiruvananthapuram, the state capital of Kerala. Both women lives near seashore and some drastic events happening in their lives force them to leave the place. The film tells the story of their journey and their struggles. Kani Kusurthi playes in the lead role of Khadeeja and Shailaja in the supporting role. The movie tells about how a married Muslim woman breaks free of religious and social norms revolves around the society.
