According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.69 square miles (4.38 km2), of which 1.52 square miles (3.94 km2) is land and 0.17 square miles (0.44 km2) is water.[5]

The average household size was 2.85 and the average family size was 3.09.
