Not a Blizzard

I rewrote the portion that referred to the storm as a "blizzard", changing it to "significant snowstorm". By no reckoning was the storm a blizzard, based on meteorological conditions recorded by the Weather Bureau at Philadelphia Airport that day. Daily snowfall was only 7 inches, with 4 inches falling between 7AM and 1PM, and another 3 inches between 1PM and 7PM. Winds were mostly between 15 and 25 mph, with no gusts up to blizzard strength (35 mph). Visibility only briefly dropped to one-quarter mile around 2PM. Thus there is no reasoning to call the storm a "blizzard". Famartin (talk) 17:33, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
