question

Hi,

not an expert but noticed that the link from I Feel Good (Brown) takes you to a page that says it was released in 1965. ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.217.70.108 (talk) 00:49, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

haha you are correct sir Tillywilly17 (talk) 23:47, 25 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

albums released - alphabetical order

Dear 60s and 70s music fans out there in wikiland (or is that wikispace?)

For want of an easier way of doing things, and following a question raised on another talk page, I am in the process of putting the albums released sections of the 60s and 70s in music pages into alphabetical order.

Whilst I realise this may not be the best or most popular way of listing stuff, I reached the conclusion that other than going directly to an artist's article page, it was probably the most efficient/effective way to find that album that we want to check up on and compare it to its contemporaries. By way of example, if we were to put the following album in artist name order:

  • Diana Ross Presents the Jackson 5 -
    Jackson 5

we would [probably] have to include it twice on the same list: once under each of the named artists, whereas if we list it alphabetically there's no possible confusion(?).

I'd appreciate some feedback on this, and in the hope that y'all agree with me (as you can imagine this is taking up quite a bit of my wikitime), I'm posting this note on all the relevant discussion pages. Please bear in mind I am only suggesting this for the albums released sections and NOT for any other kind of list. Thanx. 83.180.133.119 23:06, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

sortable lists

Wiki should have a type of list that the viewer can sort to his or her own preference. Some information, presented as a list, is occasionally presented a few times in different orders. Naturally, the contents of the two lists drift away from one another. I am sure that what you are doing is fine, however. Sorry that I am not answering the question you asked. Other singles

I was only trying to prove which entries were actually singles in 1966. I, personally, cannot believe that Robert Stigwood would unload so many unsuccessful Buffalo Springfield singles on Polydor in the UK in 1966 alone. If the person who used the autobot to revert just now is reading this message, he should counterbot immediately.192.220.136.100 (talk) 21:34, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with 1966 sections 7-10 and 6.13

Problems with 1966 no citations

7 Biggest problem is "Biggest hit singles" copied from tsort website, RYM (rate your music website) I have replaced 30+ years of these, will do same here (see 1965 and 1968)

8 Top American hits on record I like this but no citations at all no verification of your information and why are some selections bold?

9 British number one hits not included above no citations author should re-create from British charts, using citations (see other no. 1 lists for example)

10 Other significant recordings no citations dupe material, will remove soon

6.13 Release date unknown no citations these unknown release dates are all over wikipedia, just click your own links

Hope some editors take interest and do a little to fix this up I will take section 7
