This article is about the first instance of kidnappings of foreigners by Kashmiri separatists outside of Kashmir. It involved a briton of Pakistani descent who was masquerading as an Indian. It led to recognition of 'Foreign' hand in the Kashmir insurgency and also is an important 'contribution' of noted terrorist and Daniel Pearl murderer, Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh. it would be useful for anybody researching rise of terrorism in India and Kashmir in the nineties and the events which brought India and Pakistan on brink of nuclear war in 1999. A nuclear war between India and Pakistan has obvious implications for the entire world.--Wikireader41 (talk) 00:53, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
