History section

The history section needs a fairly extensive rewrite. It looks like it was mostly taken from another article as it jumps around discussing the batallion and the brigade (of which the batallion is only one part) all confusingly mixed up together. The history also never mentions

44 Parachute Regiment
, which replaced the Brigade some years ago. I've also tried to clean up the incorrect use of the word "Parabat". It is the nickname of the batallion as such - in some places it is being used incorrectly as a synonym for "paratroop" to refer to individual members of the unit. The definition specified is correct i.e. that it is a Portmanteau of two words "Para & Battalion" Parabat It would be good to point out where the word paratroop was referred to in the content? There was reference to 44 Parachute Regiment in the content with a link to 44 Parachute Regiment as well as a link from 44 Parachute Regiment to 44 Parachute Brigade Smikect 05:12, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

The article is looking better now but there are still no references. The one "reference" is not clear at all what it is - it looks like a personal story by a "Col Skillie van der Walt". References are required to be actual published material only - books, news reports and so on - not personal stories. If the "Col Skillie" reference is actually a book the full details must be given: Title, Publisher, Author, Date, ISBN, etc. Template:Cite book is an easy way to fill in the required information.
