It seems that this article has too much on the goings-on before the elections. Maybe we can have all that in a separate article? 063006 15:34, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree wholeheartedly. I wrote that before the election, intending to split the article later. At the moment, I'm up to my ears in work and domestic matters, and have no time to do it. If somebody else cares to do it, that's great. Otherwise, I'll get around to it eventually - and "eventually" may mean anything from a few weeks to a few months, the way things stand with me right now.
