Scott McLaughlin and the No. 3

I believe that, until official confirmation from Team Penske, McLaughlin should remain TBA. Yes, he run the No. 3 in the season finale at St. Pete, but for the 2021 season the number hasn't still been confirmed, and as such TBA is to be preferred. -DrFebusInc Nov. 1st, 2020 - 11:38 AM CET

Same issue happens on the NASCAR pages. It's frustrating, but if it happens enough, send it to RFPP, assuming it's mostly IPs. Willsome429 (say hey or see my edits!) 15:49, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Third AMSP number

@Aaron5572 and DubsyWheels: The typo in the source has been corrected and there is now no longer any mention of Montoya driving a "No. 86" car. GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 18:50, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

lol nevermind. [1] GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 16:28, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

IndyCar Series season

Shouldn't it say "IndyCar Series season"? Wolf O'Donnel (talk) 18:28, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wolf O'Donnel, No, other motorsports do not use "season" in its titles. NASCARfan0548  18:35, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I would assume it's redundant under
WP:CONCISE. GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 19:20, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply

Semi-protected edit request on 2 May 2021

Alex Palou is no longer the points leader of the current season, as stated on the main panel. Alekk88 (talk) 06:07, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Done. GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 06:50, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Owners standings section

I added an Owners standings section. Basically, last year there was a lot of coverage in the last race weekend on who would get the last Leaders Circle prize. See [2], [3], [4], and [5]. So this seemed like a good thing to add for this season and those going forward (and ideally backdated too). RonSigPi (talk) 22:15, 8 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dropped entry

I see the proposed Dale Coyne Racing with Vasser-Sullivan No 52 entry for the Indianapolis 500 has been dropped from the table. Does anyone have a Reliable source for this and, if so, should there be some text amendment to the Driver changes section? {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 2.125.73.196 (talk) 20:28, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Colton Herta and Curb-Agajanian

In the entry list from R1 to R4 it appears that the team name for the No. 26 is "Andretti Autosport", but in the pit assignments the name from R1 is "Andretti Autosport with Curb-Agajanian" (link).

Considered that in the spotter guide it always appears as "Andretti Autosport" (and the same cannot be said for James Hinchcliffe, which appears always as Andretti Steinbrenner Autosport"), what would be the best way to deal with it? For IndyCar it was always Andretti w/ Curb-Agajanian as reported in the pit assignments. Drfebusinc (talk) 08:06, 17 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing out the pit assignments. In lieu of any announcements or secondary sources, my opinion is that we should go with the spotters guides, keep the Herta entry lumped in with the other Andretti entries, and include a footnote clarifying that different sources have him under the different banners.
