The name of the census, as well as its results, refer to the reference day (1 December 2021), not to the period in which it actually took place. This practice is the same for all censuses. (Rgvis (talk) 14:32, 9 January 2023 (UTC))[reply]

Needless to say, the respective census is established at the level of the European Union (the reference year being 2021 for all member states).[1] (Rgvis (talk) 14:37, 9 January 2023 (UTC))[reply]
