I know this looks odd because the tournament began at the end of 2021. However, as per the official website here (see scores page and blog posts for this tournament), the tournament name is clearly "2022 Championship League", hence the page move. In a way, this will make all page names pretty consistent going forward, as its clear to me that a ranking and an invitational version of the tournament will run in one year, so allows for proper disambiguating titles. --CitroenLover (talk) 20:06, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. The tournament name in the article should be the same as the official tournament name. And it makes sense that the name is given with regard to the final weekend, I guess. Mrloop (talk) 10:21, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What source are we using for those rankings? I just attempted to add Ricky Walden (who will be replacing Neil Robertson) to the last, whose ranking was 24th on the 20th of December (tournament start date). However, the list puts Tom Ford on 24th spot, while according to this, he would have be 20th: https://wst.tv/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/World-Ranking-List-after-2021-Cazoo-World-Grand-Prix.pdf, which is where Dave Gilbert was put and so on and so forth. It'd be awesome if somebody had the original source that was used, so that we can unify that list, or if not possible remove the rankings, which are irrelevant to this tournament anyway. The source is now indicated in the article. I think the rankings give a nice overview as to where players generally are at in comparison with each other. If cut-off point 5 or cut-off point 6 is being used, doesn't make much of a difference. As long as it is consistent. Mrloop (talk) 10:19, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
