Hopman Cup

Hi, the Hopman Cup would probably need to unify, see 2023 WTA Tour Calendar in July vs 2023 ATP Calendar in July; and there is other United Cup's prize money: ATP 15M (total amount) vs WTA 7,5M (women amount). Cheers, Kacir 09:47, 25 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure what you mean by unify? It's a mixed event in July... and it's totally separate from the United Cup. Fyunck(click) (talk) 09:56, 25 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, Hopman Cup is a mixed event for men and women. So, there is no reason to have a different approach in the ATP's and WTA's seasons, cf. 2019 Hopman Cup on ATP Tour and WTA Tour. It also makes no sense to have different prize money of United Cup in 2023 ATP Tour and 2023 WTA Tour. Kacir 10:18, 25 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Unification completed. BTW, some IP address also partially removed the Hopman Cup today, but text only.Kacir 00:24, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Now fixed and added back in. It's an ITF event (like the 4 majors) but the WTA has made mention of the event. Fyunck(click) (talk) 07:59, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"Schedule only confirmed until 2023 US Open."

If Note A is correct (it is, and it is corroborated by the tournaments listed at https://www.wtatennis.com/tournaments) then everything below US Open in the calendar should be deleted. 2601:140:8081:3F20:79D4:B9DD:383B:86AD (talk) 20:57, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Made up post-US Open calendar?

The article says that "the WTA clarified [...] that post-US Open tournaments scheduled to be held in China are merely provisional", and then cites a report from The Guardian. But there's no mention of "post-US Open tournaments" in it. Instead, it says: "a provisional 2023 tournament calendar released late last year listed the WTA’s schedule up to September". So there's no citation that corroborates September-November events as they are shown on the article's schedule, and both the citations [3] and [4] confirms that.

Besides that, I'm very curious to know were did they got that apparently made up schedule, cause i've never read anything about Ostrava turning into a WTA 250, Guadalajara into a 500, Zhengzhou being the year's last WTA 500 event... Caio Morais Sales (talk) 06:48, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's kind of strange. Now, the Ostrava Open website says it's happening, but the date is up in the air. Sportskeeda has a post US Open schedule but it's different than what is here. There is also Tennis Uptodate. But they should probably be removed till more is known for sure. Fyunck(click) (talk) 07:33, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion of the court type in the tournament column

There is a discussion on the capitalization of court type in the tournaments column. Whether or not it should be Grass or grass, Hard or hard, Clay or clay. It does affect this article and others like it. Discussion is at Wikiproject Tennis. Thanks. Fyunck(click) (talk) 23:02, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Delete unsourced events

There are always unsourced tournaments or its information on this page. Before it was the post-US Open calendar, now it's Chicago. I think this should be removed, but I don't know how to use the table editing tools very well. 2605:52C0:1001:126:0:0:0:0 (talk) 19:34, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

 Done Thanks. Fyunck(click) (talk) 20:49, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Why these WTA pages always have terrible photos from random events?

Instead of posting every slam winner with their slam trophy, you continue to post random pictures from random surfaces from 2-3 years ago? Where's Aryna with AO trophy? Where's Iga with 2023 FO trophy? Where's Marketa with Wimbledon trophy?

Why all 3 are from random clay tournament pictures in 2020-2021? 2A01:112F:7A4:3E00:912A:D8C9:F1D2:8231 (talk) 14:58, 15 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps if you bring your camera to the next event and snap some photos, and then freely give them up as yours by making them public domain, we'll have more. We can't simply take the photos off the internet because they are copyrighted. Fyunck(click) (talk) 18:26, 15 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
