We are a few friends getting together to improve this page, and information or sources are greatly appreciated! We are focusing specifically on the Wikipedia Featured Article Criteria of: 1. Comprehensiveness 2. Appropriate Structure 3. The Lead. In our research we are still struggling to find enough information about the song itself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexishallin (talkcontribs) 04:58, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree Alexishallin, I am also having a hard time finding information on the song itself. Most of the information I find, has to do with the singer. Any suggestions where we can find information on the song? — Preceding unsigned comment added by ReMo2222 (talkcontribs) 02:34, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I added some content that I found interesting that expanded the information, which gave a better understanding of BB King's approach to the song and how it affected his career. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hanamama (talkcontribs) 05:38, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Good additions. B.B. King's song articles and
Discography could use more attention. —Ojorojo (talk) 15:29, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply

Adding to the lead

I added to the lead with some background information, it is difficult to find information about the song with out information about B.B. King. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexishallin (talkcontribs) 05:04, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Song title

I've just redirected "Three O’Clock Blues" to this article, but looking at the label on the original 78rpm recording, it occurs to me that maybe it should be the other way round as "Three O'Clock Blues" would appear to be the original title. I don't have any of my B.B. King recordings in front of me right now, to see what the "traditional" title has been, but I'm easy on this, so whatever the consensus is... Many of these old blues songs are referred to by different names or use alternate spellings. I suppose you could say it represents the folk tradition aspect of the music – developed over time by numerous players. Anyway, " 3 O'Clock Blues" is the spelling that B.B. King's versions usually use (the original article didn't even mention that Fulson wrote it). However, BMI lists it as "Three..." (sometimes these links work, othertimes...) Since King's song is now the best-known, "3.." is probably OK. —Ojorojo (talk) 16:53, 5 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Jeff Beck collaboration

A version was also recorded during the 1997 BB King sessions for "Deuces Wild" album sessions with guitarist Jeff Beck. I think this was a single release, but I have not come across it. It is on a compilation CD with other artists. Anyway, it was posted to YouTube. see--> http://www.ainian.com/jb5.html#850.111.24.29 (talk) 19:57, 27 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
