Title
Needs to be changed to from American English to English as in Mechanised
- My copy of the Concise Oxford Dictionary (8th edition printed 1992) gives the following
mechanize [gives phonetic spelling] v.tr (also -ise) .....
- This implies that -ize is the primary English spelling and that -ise is an alternative. If you look up the unit on the Army website it is spelt -ize (although the link at the bottom of the page now goes to a closed page and the connecting link allows only member access so I can't say what it says now. Until clear evidence can be found to show that the army now spells it -ise it should remain unchanged and the -ize spelling should be used throughout the article (so I am reverting the recent edit).
- It is interesting that the preface (written in 1990) of this British dictionary touches on the subject:
Spelling and hyphenation have been extensively revised. [not revized!] Because English is a language that has exceptional tolerance of variations in spelling (enquire and inquire, generalize and generalise, and so on) these are areas of particular difficulty to the users of a dictionary. The spellings have been revised in accordance with a critical evaluation of the evidence...

- Here is an org chart of the British Army [1]. Fascinating. 4th is 4th Mechanized but 1st and 12th are Mechanised!! It appears the Army can't make up its mind either! Stephen Kirrage talk - contribs 00:36, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Headquarters Catterick Garrison
Even though a source is given, I don't think it is correct to say a HQ garrison falls under the brigade's ORBAT. You don't deploy a garrison. BlueD954 (talk) 08:17, 13 September 2019 (UTC)
