Incorrect Article Name
This article is indexed under a designation this unit never held, that of 54th Fighter-Interceptor Group. It has been the
54th Pursuit Group and has been the 54th Fighter Group (with parentheticals, one of which is covered in the article). I am currently away from many of my references and cannot verify this, but I believe that it was even redesignated the 54th Tactical Fighter Group in 1985. For that reason, I will be making the article a redirect page and transferring its content to an article with its last designation as an active USAF unit, 54th Fighter Group (Air Defense).
