anachronisms?

I recall reading that great care was taken to make Detroit's stadium look as Yankee Stadium had in 1961. However, in the film the outfield grass on the playing field is cut in a modern pattern. Anyone know when baseball fields were first cut in patterns? I know it wasn't in 1961, and I found it impossible to believe I was looking at a 1961 field every time that patterned grass appeared on the screen. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.84.217.243 (talk) 22:18, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
