Hi, just letting you know that as the web-designer for ABS the content on the ABS website was written by me in the first place. As a curent employee of ABS I not only have permission to reproduce information from the website - I have been asked to do so. I'd like to link to the ABS site but need to learn a bit more about the wiki world so I can figure out how it's done. So to make it clear, no copyrights have been violated, I'm merely re-writing my own work onto wiki.

I'm afraid we still need to formally verify permission, so I have blanked the article, pending that verification. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials and follow the steps listed there. Thank you for your contributions. VernoWhitney (talk) 16:47, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm finding following those steps far too complicated - can I just change what I've written so it isn't the same? I don't get much time to work on this stuff and I'm unsure how I can't give permission for my own work. I'm not going to use statements that allow just anyone to reproduce information on our website - recipe for disaster. Could you be more explicit as to my options please? Thanks very much. —Preceding unsigned comment added by LauraMaxwell1 (talkcontribs) 06:23, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the website it's quoted from is being changed on Tuesday so the info will be different - will that make a difference? —Preceding unsigned comment added by LauraMaxwell1 (talkcontribs) 06:24, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, so option #1: in order to leave the text as it is you need to send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org preferrably using the language found in
close paraphrase of the text). I hope that clears up the options for you. VernoWhitney (talk) 11:46, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply

Hi, I've rewritten the article. I've made it strict facts - is it okay now? I did it on the temporary subpage.

It looks good as far as I can tell. An admin will double check in a couple of days and then they should move it to overwrite the current blanked article. Thanks! VernoWhitney (talk) 20:46, 28 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
