Description of plot

This is a bit inaccurate. Bill apparently only knows of Pat's latest lover. When Kate tells him (the lover) that she must end their relationship, he angrily tells her that he now realizes that he was just like "all the others," which is apparently news to her. She then tells Bill that their relationship would never work, as "she" had had too many lovers and that he was a laughingstock. As she leaves, the expression on his face reveals that he has seen through her disguise. Just before the end, when he addresses her as "Kate," she then says, "then, you know?".
