About use of flag for international broadcast

It is in fact broken. The flag makes it appear as if the nation is represented by the programming, or the nation is sponsoring the programming. Neither of these things are true.
Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Icons says that a flag icon "may be relevant" in cases "where the subject officially represents that country or nationality. This is not that case.
MOS:FLAGCRUFT says "Do not emphasize nationality without good reason." A TV show with a fantasy theme does not supply a good reason. If there is no good reason, then the flag icon is violating WP:Neutral point of view

The argument about other TV show articles is not a reason to keep flags in this one. That argument just shows how far down the wrong path people have gone. Those other articles will have to be fixed, too. Binksternet (talk) 20:25, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
