Allport's Scale is a general name

The article's name "Allport's Scale" is too general. "Allport's Scale" could refer to the many other scales related to Gordon Allport, where as this article is focus on Allport's Scale of Prejudice and Discrimination and therefore should be moved into a seperate article titled "Allport's Scale of Prejudice and Discrimination".

    • Colloquial language.....

Merge with Gordon Allport

This article is a stub, and there really isn't much that can be added to it. What about merging this into the article on Allport? The section in that article dealing with his theories is empty anyways. Arcticwoman 22:44, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Add "Removal" to Extermination

Though there were some who wanted to kill all the Native Americans in the Indian Wars, the goal was much more removal to reservations than complete extermination. If, as some say, the goal was extermination, WHY ARE THERE STILL INDIAN TRIBES IN THE UNITED STATES?69.3.223.157 (talk) 20:27, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The word extermination is used to incite stronger emotion in the reader and serve as a method of demonizing groups the author deems wrong. KadaganX (talk) 17:48, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Lynchings

Lynchings make sense under 4, but I can't see they are normally prevalent enough to count as an example of 5. --91.209.142.224 (talk) 16:20, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

transparent abbreviation

Allport's Scale is a measure of the manifestation of prejudice in a society. It is also referred to as Allport's Scale of Prejudice and Discrimination or Allport's Scale of Prejudice.

Would anything be lost if these two sentences were collapsed to one?

Allport's Scale of Prejudice and Discrimination is a measure of the manifestation of prejudice in a society.

I think the reader would not be confused by the existence of the synonyms Allport's Scale of Prejudice and Allport's Scale, even if they're not explicitly cited. —Tamfang (talk) 22:04, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
