Scream 3

I see 'The Simpsons' movie has an alternate ending listed, but the ending is only "slightly" altered.

Scream 3: alternate ending; The exact same plot, revelation, characters. Minor differences include altered dialogue and a slighly different fight scene, resulting in the exact same conclusion. Is this an alternate ending? JimmmyThePiep (talk) 21:52, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WP:COMMONALITY, we are meant to use "alternative" because "alternate" is nonsensical in this context to some people. There is no reason why this page should definitely remain at the American name, when the British name is equally acceptable in the US but not vice-versa. Notice the words given as example in red and green. That's why we have

wp:commonnames. Wp:engvar and wp:retain are only applicable if no common English alternative (as here) was possible. walk victor falk talk 23:47, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply

Article title

I can't believe that this article is entitled "alternate ending". It's a well-known American grammatical error. Alternate means switching between different forms on a cyclical basis (traditionally two if basing strictly upon its Latin root but nowadays often including reference to any number), and the word that should be used in this context is alternative, which means a different option. Wikipedia is an international resource not an American one, even if most subscribers and contributors come from there, and I know their use of alternate is very prevalent (and therefore acceptable in the subscriptive lexicographical sense), but can we get it changed? Blade Runner

Could someone add Blade Runner to the list. Director's Cut has a different ending. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.229.255.159 (talk) 16:40, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Joy Ride Alternate Endings

There were 3 long alternate endings to Joy Ride as I recall and very good ones and worth including. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.202.63.12 (talk) 19:31, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hostel

Hostel has an alternate ending that Eli Roth wanted but was made to change; where Jay Hernandez instead of killing the man he takes his daughter on a train and they go away. It's implied he might hurt the daughter and become a monster but we are left to wonder. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.202.63.12 (talk) 19:33, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wreck-It Ralph

The different ending when Ralph battles Turbo in the code's room on the Sugar Rush Castle. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.174.180.189 (talk) 14:06, 7 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
