Hi there!
I have a suggestion to include in this article:
Etymology
The name of 'Apahida' derives from the fact that the Benedictine Abbey of Cluj-Mănăștur (Hungarian Kolozsmonostor, German Abtsdorf) here had a bridge across the Little Somes. In fact, it is the composition of the 'abbot' (Hungarian 'apát') and the 'bridge' (Hungarian 'híd') nouns with possessive suffix. It is first mentioned in a deed of 1326, as Apathyda, while its current form as early as 1469 (Apahyda).
What do you think?
