Name of the university

Université d'Avignon et des pays du Vaucluse refers to itself as the University of Avignon on its international relations page. (Retrieved 2007-10-27.) We can consider this to be the principal name for use in English, and University of Avignon and the Vaucluse to be the long name.

Please also see the

naming guidelines
for French universities.
