• " they have never won a medal in the Winter Olympics." - change to medalled in the Winter Olympics.
• "Fuat Guliyev, an official, was chosen as the flag bearer for both the opening ceremony," - get rid of both since it's been established that Guliyev didn't hold the Azeri flag at the closing ceremony
• "while Konul Nurullayera, the chef de mission performed" - need a comma between "mission" and "performed"

Alpine skiing

• "Due to challenging weather conditions, the second run of the race was ran 'on the 25th." - on 25 February
• "On Friday the 26th," - 26 February,
• "and improved her time on Thursday" - the day after
