Badkhal Lake, Faridabad, Haryana, India used to be a beautiful, man-made lake. Surrounded by low hills and pristine natural surroundings, Badkhal was an extremely popular tourist spot as well as a natural habitat to migratory birds, flora and fauna. Due to total drying up of the water caused by man-made environmental goof-ups such as wanton mining leading to blockage of water, commercial usage of the water and other, the lake turned into a grassy plain. The authorities had assured to have the Badkhal Lake re-filled with water before the Commonwealth Games at Delhi. Has the same been done ? 116.68.245.105 (talk) 18:40, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
