i suggest this material is left for a while for the addition of sources, but if none is forthcoming it should be removed. Without any provenance at all it must be seen as not inaccurate but seemingly false. Let's hope for some citations.

All the material relating to the expulsion of Jews from Dublin in 1290, their supposed sojourn at Baltinglass Abbey, and later support from the O'Donovans, is unsupported by any historical material, any published history or academic work, any known medieval records or annals. As it stands it is baseless speculation. We need sources and citations. If the contributor knows of these, they must be inserted in the article, as these are very important, previously unrecorded events. Where does the story come from? What are the Norman documents? Where are the records of Baltinglass Abbey or the Cistercians that record these events. It does seem that if no sources or citations exist, this material should be removed from the article. I would love to see this story supported by evidence of some kind. If it cant be, then it has no place in a historical account.--016zeitgeist (talk) 11:59, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There is no reference cited to support the story of a Jewish community stopping at Baltinglass Abbey in 1290, or of a connection to the O'Donovan family. Is it possible to provide some evidence for the events described? HackDublin (talk) 20:55, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
