Can any one identifyy Sheikh Mithqal in the picture taken at the 8 April 1933 meeting? See the Arlosoroff article. Is he sitting on Weizmann's righthand side? Padres Hana (talk) 16:25, 10 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Inconsistencies on the page at present:

• Bani Sakhr = page name
• Beni Sakhr = lead sentence

Then the spelling alternates in every paragraph. Is there an authenticated romanized version on which the page and Wikidata item can be standardized? -- Deborahjay (talk) 18:51, 2 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Edited to add: According to the 19 May 2016 edit summary of this page move by User:Makeandtoss, the spelling "Bani Sakhr" is the "most common spelling." Am requesting confirmation by that user before further editing to resolve spelling inconsistencies on the page. -- Deborahjay (talk) 19:23, 2 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Reference 5, which support this quote :

In 1875 a member of the Palestine Exploration Fund's survey team reported finding the Beni Sakhr in the Ghor, a considerable extent of which was under cultivation. They had several herds containing 100 to 300 head of cattle and many sheep and goats as well as camels and horses. He mentions that they had fewer camels than previously since their power had been broken 7 or 8 years earlier by Mohammed Said, Pasha of Nablus, but that the current government was impotent. He counted 150 tents and estimated the tribe strength as 400 men.[5]

It is known that there is a Bani Sakher of the Jordan Valley that is separate from the Beni Sakher of Hauran. It is also unlikely for a clan to be weakened to 400 horsemen, to reach 4500 in 2 years so some common sense and careful research would've prevented this mistake. This article is about Bani Sakher of Hauran, not the Bani Sakher of the Ghor who claim that they are descendent of the Bani Sakher of the Hauran.
