It's just occured to me, is the 'Dungan' in Dungan's Hill actually Dangan, the homeplace of the Wesley family? (Dangan is about 2km outside Summerhill on the left before the turn off to Galtrim)86.42.109.173 (talk) 13:24, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could be. Occasionally spelt 'Dangan's Hill' and at this date the name would probably have been in Irish, giving rise to a number of English spellings. Jdorney (talk) 12:28, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This is a common misconception, Dungans hill (dunganstown) is on the opposite side of summerhill, near the village of coole. There was also a battle fought in 1798 at dangans hill, hence the confusion —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.155.189.86 (talk) 15:35, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The campaign around the battle

This is not at all clear in the article. This version sounds more realistic - http://bcw-project.org/military/confederate-war/dungans-hill - and has a map. Jones approached Trim by the R-154 modern road and the battle was several miles south of Summerhill, so a day's march from Trim.78.17.37.62 (talk) 20:49, 1 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
