GA Review

Reviewer: Carbrera (talk · contribs) 02:13, 2 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am Carbrera, and I'll be reviewing this article for possible good article submission.

Full review coming tomorrow. Carbrera (talk) 02:13, 2 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox

  • Cover needs an alt
  • Climb Up to the Top → "Climb Up to the Top"

Lead

Paragraph 1

  • Could "(capitalized as "can't stop the DISCO")" be changed to "(stylized as "can't stop the DISCO")"?
  • Reword "The track was released following Suzuki's second collaboration with Nakata, this being her single "One" in June 2008." Could you perhaps just say it proceeds "One"?
  • Remove the CD cover information from the lead, but do add that to the alt I suggested above

Paragraph 2

  • In her native Japan → In Japan
  • Italicize Billboard
  • Add "As of March 2016" to "The song has sold over six thousand units in Japan"
  • Omit "This is her final single to reach over the five thousand sales limit"

Paragraph 3

  • centring → centering
  • Reword "visual aesthetics"
  • Change to "The song was featured on Suzuki's One Promotional Tour, and at her 29th birthday event."

Background and release

Paragraph 1

  • Reword the entire second sentence
  • It is Suzuki's third single → It is Suzuki's fourth single (You mentioned three prior to this one)

Paragraph 2

  • Omit 'format' from the first sentence
  • Add "the" before 'iTunes Store'
  • An unreleased → a different

Composition

  • Introduce Tetsuo Hiraga so the reader knows he's from Billboard

Reception

  • Separate 'Critical response' and 'Commercial performance', so delete an equal sign from the beginning and end of each title

Critical response

  • Favourable → Favorable
  • Labelling → Labeling
  • Cite the CD Journal source
  • Too many clauses in the Japanese Amazon.com sentence; reword it please
  • Combine the last two sentences into one

Commercial performance

  • Reword the first sentence entirely
  • Four weeks in → Four weeks on
  • Final → Only (There's no confirmation that it'll be her final single...)
  • Again, change 'final' into 'only'
  • Italicize Billboard twice
  • Reword the second half of the last sentence and include sources after each comma for each chart

Music video

Paragraph 1

  • Remove sources 5 and 6 from the end of "The outfit Suzuki wears..." sentence
  • Omit "with her"
  • By the first chorus, several scenes use different transition effects, and the chorus has Suzuki singing in different circles. → By the first chorus, several scenes use different transition effects while Suzuki sings in different circles.

Paragraph 2

  • Remove "only this time with several different transition effects to the scenes". You just repeated yourself
  • Omit "to become brighter"

Paragraph 3

  • Videos → Video's
  • Avoid using periods within quotes; reword the sentence with the long quote from Channel-Ai blog. Remember to also name the reviewer from the blog if applicable.
  • DVD version → DVD release

Promotion and live performances

  • "A campaign for Mr. Donut"
  • Italicize Gyotekku
  • Was performed live on → Was performed live at
  • Is Club Asia a place or program? If it is a television program, it needs to be italicized
  • The sentence that begins with "The 29th Anniversary tour..." needs to be reworded; you can't have a 29th birthday more than once
  • According to Snow Ring's article page, it doesn't list "Can't Stop the Disco" as a bonus track; if it's not a bonus track, this sentences needs to be removed

Track listing

  • Remove the "Digital Music Video download" section

Personnel

Looks good!

Charts and sales

  • Perhaps change to "Charts and certifications", then change "Sales" to "Certifications"

Release history

  • Unlink Avex Trax for Japan towards the bottom

Notes and references

  • Rename "References"
  • Remove the "Notes" section along with Note A; this is unnecessary
  • Is #24 a necessary source? Source #1 is basically the same source
  • Unlink 'Billboard' from #16-#20
  • Unlink 'Avex Trax' from #21, #24-#26
  • Unlink 'iTunes Store' from #27 - #37

End of GA Review Comments:

This review is now complete. Overall the article was throughly written, but had some grammatical errors. Minor parts of the article need to be reworded, but that's about it. I am putting this article on-hold so that problems can be addressed. If they are addressed and changed, the article will either pass or fail GA status. Thanks! Thank you for your time in conducting this review! I have Finished the adjustments you have given me; but there are some things I didn't change. I decided to leave the section Charts and sales as it is because the single didn't received a certification and only projects claimed sales; had it received a certification, it would be different. Regarding the Is #24 a necessary source? Source #1 is basically the same source comment (about the similar links), they ARE the same album but hold DIFFERENT information. It would be clearer to leave them as one is a sole CD, and the other includes the DVD that holds the required information. Other than that, everything was edited and changed for the better. Hope this helps and thank you again! CaliforniaDreamsFan (talk · contribs} 03:14, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'll be glad to re-review it right now. Thanks for the immediate response; it makes things easier on me. I noticed one mistake myself so I'm gonna fix it quickly. Thanks again. Carbrera (talk) 03:18, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
