ok maybe it's just me, but isnt "cat scratch fever" about venhereal diseases? getting infected by a "pussy"?
- It's possible, but I think "cat scratch fever" actually refers to the feeling that he gets when he sees the ladies. It's a fever that he gets from the ladies. --Tony Feld (talk) 00:17, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- For Ted's sake, the song primarily refers to the real cat scratch fever (i.e. infections kiddies get from scratches), since the lyrics state that he was 10 years old when he first got it. Secondly, there is also the image of hot women (cats) scratching your back during sexual frenzy. In no way STD is meant, because otherwise he wouldn't ask for more. --84.152.213.118 (talk) 17:08, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
When you listen to the riff, you know that Ted is a riff genious, and it does kind of sound like "Smoke on the Water". "Cat Scratch Fever" goes like this: A B C C A B C A B C C C B A A and "Smoke on the Water" goes like this: G Bb C G Bb Db C G Bb C Bb G. --Doy-doy people (talk) 21:16, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Also, "Cat Scratch Fever" is featured in one of the Garfield movies, sung by Garfield himself —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.121.21.97 (talk) 01:27, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
