Time in Top 75

Just edited article to say the song spent "at least 122 weeks in UK Top 75 charts" as opposed to "122 weeks so far". Have had a quick look, but can't find anywhere a reference to its actual length of time in these charts.

Vinyl?!?

The article states: "Interestingly, the 7" single version of the song plays at 33rpm, instead of the normal 45rpm. The fact that the label states "45 rpm" indicates that this was a mistake."

Are they still pressing vinyl?!? --Mal 13:09, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yes they are - in limited quantities. In fact the UK is one of the few countries where vinyl's percentage of the market has grown over the last few years, and it is now believed to be back up in double figures. Usually it's in the form of albums, pressed on the highest quality "180-gram vinyl" using highly specialist equipment, for the benefit of those connoisseurs who never had faith in CD (and without wishing to sound patronising, they have a valid point here - many of these vinyl albums do sound phenomenal), but occasionally some vinyl singles are produced.

There is no truth in the rumour that 78s are making a comeback - at least not for now. Its treu!

Very informative

Thank you for this excellant article. I have been looking for the meaning behind chasing cars for ages and its very good to finally found it. —The preceding

I disagree. I don't believe this article contains any information about the song at all other than its duration and that it is, in Gary Lightbody's opinion, his "purest love song". AJD (talk) 17:37, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube videos

The YouTube links for both of the US and UK versions are dead. I have located two different (working) versions of the song, however I do not know which video is which version. If somebody could identify them and adjust the link accordingly, I (and possibly other viewers) would appreciate it.

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Resolved This issue has been resolved, and I have therefore removed the tag, if not already done. No further action is necessary.—
