TOOSOON?

Hello! Looking at this article, I'm starting to think it might be

WP:TOOSOON for this truck to have it's own article. It's a newly announced vehicle by Chevy and there isn't much information on it yet outside of what Chevy has told us. Along with that, this article also seems to be lacking a lot of sources and uses some marketing-like terms (such as "Multi-Flex Midgate" which is what Chevy is calling their mid-gate option on the truck). ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 20:40, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply

Shouldn't be a concern because the topic meets
general notability guideline, and the product has been officially released instead of being a rumour. For the seemingly lack of sources, everything in this article can be traced back to every citation placed and adding more wouldn't provide much benefit due to the limited information the product currently have. Regarding the marketing term, I wasn't aware that there is a neutral, non-marketing term for that. Andra Febrian (talk) 00:30, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply

Yep. I knew there was a non-marketing term because it says that it's similar to what is in the
Chevy Avalanche which uses the neutral term and the marketing term (but only once). ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 03:24, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply

I agree. At present the parts that are referenced in this article seem to be based entirely upon reports of what GM themselves have said rather than what reliable independent motoring journalists have found when reviewing the truck hands on or from correspondence with owners. Generally speaking it seems that if a car has not been made widely available to at least the press (if not the public) then most coverage just consists of
WP:ROUTINE announcements which inevitably reflect what the manufacturer wants the public to hear, even if the media is critical of the contents of those announcements. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 10:33, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply
