Theosophy (Boehmian) → Christian theosophy – Move was the original name of this article, and we should revert to that. It is also the primary term used in reliable sources. Faivre is the greatest authority on this topic area, and he uses by a large margin the term Christian theosophy. When he (rarely) uses the term Boehmenist Theosophy, he talks about Jacob Boehme, not about Christian theosophy in general. Same with other scholars like Versluis. It was the original name of this article for many years (actually since the beginning of Wikipedia). It seems it was moved without discussion. - Comment - I'm not sure "Christian theosophy" is the correct title - due to the influence of esotericism, such as Kabbalah and Paracelsus, can we say that theosophy is purely Christian? It's more an amalgam blended with mysticism - perhaps a better title would be something like "Early theosophy" or "Traditional theosophy" or "Historical theosophy" - those probably aren't good titles, but something to distinguish the original tradition from the later Theosophical Society - Epinoia (talk) 04:30, 11 November 2019 (UTC)
- Comment - Christian theosophy is the most established term for this topic area and more encompassing than the current title. Other uses of the term can be explained within the Christian theosophy or related articles.
